Barrick Gold Corporation is the largest gold mining company in the world, with its headquarters in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Barrick is currently undertaking mining projects in Argentina, Australia, Canada, Chile, the Dominican Republic, Papua New Guinea, Peru, Saudi Arabia, the United States and Zambia.
Solutions
Evoke Solutions worked with Barrick to rebrand and redesign their corporate intranet. The logo’s underlined ‘O’ represents the front and side of a core sample as well as a gold pour to communicate the company’s process from end-to-end. The existing intranet had grown increasingly complex since its initial launch and was becoming bloated and difficult to use. Evoke Solutions simplified the information architecture, updated the design with clear typography, icons and imagery, and added a globally accessible search in a responsive framework. Additional features include a site-based weather widget, podcast player, quick polls, searchable FAQs and a like/commenting system. The new intranet is bilingual and AODA compliant.
